The Kevin McPhie Memorial Hockey League (KMMHL) is a friendly, organized hockey league dedicated to the memory of Kevin McPhie, a dear friend and fellow West Islander who left us tragically March 9, 2008.
The KMMHL consist of two teams that play regularly every Monday night at 10PM for 90 minutes at the Cite des Jeunes Arena in Vaudreuil. If you are interested in joining our league as a regular player or a spare, please email james.barbieri@groupepdi.com with your coordinates and availability. Please note that the KMMHL is a “NO Contact” league with a zero-tolerance policy for any contact made with intent to injure and/or in retaliation to a questionable play on behalf of an opposing player. The KMMHL permits slap slots and has a referee on the ice to maintain control of the game and record statistics. All participants/players should appreciate the role of the referee in the context of the calls he makes and the player data he collects on the ice – he is alone and uses “best efforts” in his role – any negative comments, insults and/or aggression towards our referee is strictly forbidden and will result in a suspension (without compensation).
